I am writing to request some information on my carbon footprint from July 2023 – June 2023 travelling from Watford Underground Station to West Hampstead underground station 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
Totalling 11 months.
Would you be able to calculate, roughly what my carbon emissions are for these dates.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on14 June 2024 asking for information about carbon emissions.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold some of the information you require.
Data on the CO2 per passenger km is produced annually as an average over the whole financial year and per mode of transport. We do not hold granular data per specific journeys.
The latest available data on the CO2 per passenger km for London Underground is 24.7 gCO2 per passenger km for the period April 2023 to March 2024.
The carbon footprint for the underground journey from Watford Underground Station to West Hamstead Underground Station (25.24km journey in total on London Underground) for the period 1July 2023 to 31March 2024 is 244 kgCO2.
This is assuming:
one return journey per day; and
5 return journeys per week every week between 1July 2023 and 31March 2024.
