Our Ref: FOI-0861-2324 Thank you for your request received on 20 June 2023 asking for information about Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expansion cameras. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. You asked: Please can you advise as to whether TFL have sought Home Office approval for the proposed ULEZ expansion and whether YUNEX appropriate approval or have applied for this. There is no requirement for Home Office approval of cameras for ULEZ. Also do YUNEX and/or TFL have approval, or sought approval for their use for 'pay per mile' use, There are no plans for ‘pay per mile’ so we have not sought approval. And have Yunex/TFL approval or sought approval for speed limit enforcement. There are no plans for speed limit enforcement using the ULEZ cameras.
