Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11 July 2017 asking for information about the Stratford to Angel Road Service.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. Our response to your four points is as follows:

a) the date you expect to commence running the STAR service as part of London Overground.  

The STAR service will be operated by Abellio Greater Anglia, not London Overground.  You may want to contact the Department for Transport (DfT) at https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-transport or Abellio Greater Anglia for service start dates, or to review their franchise agreement: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/east-anglia-2016-rail-franchise-agreement.

b) that TfL (via LO) will assume the management of Lea Bridge, Northumberland Park and Angel Road stations.  

Given the above, none of these stations will transfer to London Overground.

c) if it is still intended to relocate Angel Road station.

Network Rail is working on a scheme to relocate Angel Road station which is being promoted by the London Borough of Enfield.  Please see http://crossrail2.co.uk/stations/angel-road/ for more information.

d) if it is still intended to rename Angel Road as Meridian Water.

TfL understand that this is the case, but this is a matter for the DfT, London Borough of Enfield and Abellio Greater Anglia.
