I understand you started enforcement of this junction at the fire station and Wardle street by camera on 1/2/2013. Please could you provide information relating to:

- what due diligence took place to confirm that the yellow box junction was implemented in line with standards especially relating to: Metropolitan Police Consultation and that the painting and positioning was checked for compliance with Government standards.

We previously confirmed that the yellow box junction in question meets the requirement of the TSRGD and therefore is compliant. TSRGD can be found here: https://tsrgd.co.uk/pdf/tsrgd/tsrgd2016.pdf

The inspection regime for Homerton High Street is carried out on a monthly basis while the boxes are checked and remarked where necessary on an annual basis matching what is already painted on the ground and every two years for the longitudinal red lines. This all comes under our Core Service 4 contractual obligations.

Please see below the inspection records for Homerton High Street since our new Works for London contract has been in place, covering period from April 2021 to July 2022.

Due to a changeover in our reporting systems we are currently unable to extract this information going back to 2013. Once we have access to the older system we should be able to retrieve the information for earlier years.

While we are working to resolve the problem, the only way to provide you with the requested information would be for someone to go through a large number of records and notes individually, which would exceed the ‘appropriate limit’ of £450 set by the Freedom of Information (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004.

Under section 12 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to comply with a request if we estimate that the cost of determining whether we hold the information, locating and retrieving it and extracting it from other information would exceed the appropriate limit. This is calculated at £25 per hour for every hour spent on the activities described.

We have estimated that it would considerably exceed the cost limit to provide a response to your current request at this time.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
