Could you please let me know how much TFL has spent on advertising over the past two years, broken down by full 12 month period. Also, how this is broken own, digital, radio, print, posters, etc. Thank you.

Thank you for clarifying your request received on 29 June 2018 asking for information about our advertising spend.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

Please find attached a pdf containing two tables with our advertising spend for the last two years (July 2016-June 2017 and July 2017 - June 2018) and broken down by media channel.

This expenditure supports a wide range of transport services and related activities, including essential safety, security and ticketing messages. It supports key campaigns such as:

· Road safety and safer travel at night
· The promotion of improvements to transport and messaging to encourage Londoners to use public transport more
· Information for those with accessibility needs
· Campaigns helping customers get the best fare
· Encouraging safer travel and courtesy
· Giving customer information for major events which could disrupt London’s roads and public transport.
· Helping drivers prepare for the Emissions Surcharge (T-Charge) and the forthcoming Ultra Low Emission Zone
· Encouraging Londoners to walk and cycle
