Our ref:FOI-0840-1718
Thank you for your email of 8 July 2017 asking for information about Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs).
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require. You asked:
Please advise how many penalty notices have been issued for a prohibited right turn at the junction of Kennington Park road and Harley Ford St?
We can confirm from a follow up email that you meant prohibited left turn and not right turn at this junction. Our records show that we began issuing PCNs for this banned turn on 6 February 2017 and, from that date until 8 July 2017, we have issued 2,974 PCNs.
How many have been successfully overturned when challenged?
7 PCNs have been cancelled due to TfL accepting representations and one further PCN has been cancelled following an appeal to London Tribunals.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please feel free to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
