10. PR1012 LU Individual Grievance Procedure 11. The sections of the rule books dealing with electrical training.
[Clarified 16 June 2024] : For questions 5, 6 and 7 I am looking to obtain information regarding the electrical low-voltage training manual/ health and safety policies and Staff Handbook as applicable to the LU Fleet/ DMU department.
Regarding question 11, I am aware that there is the standard S1069, where the formerly known as procedure Ea200 is described. Can you provide me with the section/s from the rule books reflecting this? We all know that: "when working on LU infrastructure you must have the correct certification for the activity you will be carrying out" and that. "Any certification and associated licences should be carried with you at all times when working on LU infrastructure." I am looking for the sections describing the electrical Low-Voltage licences to be carried by a person or Level 3 certification as described by the standard S1069 is sufficient.
Regarding question 8, can you provide the pay rise deal applicable to LU Fleet for 2023-2024? The information obtained from publicly available sources was that the staff received a five per cent increase and £1,000 “consolidated payment” if the annual salary was over £40.000. Is this correct?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on10 June 2024.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
Specifically you asked for:
The number of DMU (Depot Maintenance Unit) members in September 2022

The number of DMU (Depot Maintenance Unit) members who failed and retook the City and Guilds 2391-52 training in 2022. Tesla Technical Training provided the training.
In accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation, information where there is less than five people has been withheld as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act as personal data of these persons could be identified. Disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of Article 5 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
This exemption to the right of access to information is an absolute exemption and not subject to an assessment of whether the public interest favours use of the exemption.
