Request ID: FOI-0834-1819
Date published: 06 July 2018
You asked
Could you please tell me the total amount of journeys on TFL buses within the last 12 months using ENCTS bus passes (including both OAP and Disabled versions) but broken down by Council that issued it.
For example:
• How many journeys have been made on TFL buses in the past 12 months using ENCTS bus passes issued by Greater London County Council.
• How many journeys have been made on TFL buses in the past 12 months using ENCTS bus passes issued by Surrey County Council.
How many journeys have been made on TFL buses in the past 12 months using ENCTS bus passes issued by Hampshire Country Council.
• How many journeys have been made on TFL buses in the past 12 months using ENCTS bus passes issued by Kent County Council.
And so on for every other Council in the England. Please do the same as the examples above but for every Council all throughout England.
Also please could you give separate statistics for the OAP version and the Disabled version (if this is not possible though then i am fine with combined statistics for both).

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 28 June 2018 asking for information about bus passes. You asked:
Could you please tell me the total amount of journeys on TFL buses within the last 12 months using English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) bus passes (including both OAP and Disabled versions) but broken down by Council that issued it.
Our official source for Bus journeys is the Greater London Bus Passenger Survey which is run by our contractor.
Please find below the figures for Elderly and Disabled Freedom Passes and the Total English National Concessionary journeys that were made on the Bus network in London from 1st April 2017 to 31st of March 2018.
Unfortunately we do not hold information about the ENCTS journeys by the council that issued the card as this is not recorded in the survey methodology.
