Please state how many sites you have where there are fixed position cameras in operation for the detection of speeding motorists as of 1st April 2022?
NB: If you have more than one camera at a site to detect speeding using average speeds across a set distance please count this as one site.

Thank you for your request received on 7 July 2022 asking for information about the number of fixed position speed cameras.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.
There are 925 safety camera sites across London. In some instances there are more than one camera head on a site. This figure includes all types of safety cameras, including those that enforce on red light violations and those that enforce red light and speed on green violations as well as spot speed and average speed systems.
