Thank you for your request of 25th July 2021 asking for information about the Adam and Eve bus stop in Hayes.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“In Hayes, Adam & Eve bus stop but where did name Adam & eve come from?”
The stop was named after the Adam and Eve pub which was nearby to the stop. Although this pub has since closed, areas can remain known by local landmarks, even if these change over time, and bus stops can retain these names.
