On the 12/06/2019 I received a letter containing a 'Single Justice Procedure notice' informing me that an application had been made for a £225.00 contribution 'towards the cost of Transport for London' for allegedly avoiding a fare of £3.60.
I would like to request the full details as to how this number was calculated.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19th June 2019 asking for information about Single Justice Procedure Notices (SJPNs).
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
You asked:
“I received a letter containing a 'Single Justice Procedure notice' informing me that an application had been made for a £225.00 contribution 'towards the cost of Transport for London' for allegedly avoiding a fare of £3.60. I would like to request the full details as to how this number was calculated.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. TfL ask for a £225 contribution towards costs, as outlined in the table below (note that full costs are calculated to be £400 per case):
