Our ref: FOI-0810-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21 July 2021 asking for information about Streetspace initiatives across London.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
The London Streetspace Programme (LSP) was launched in May 2020 and comprised schemes delivered on roads controlled by both the boroughs and Transport for London. We publish details on TfL’s own Streetspace schemes on our website here: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/general/streetspace/ In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
Attached is a list of the borough-led Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs), School Streets and town centre footway widening schemes delivered under the London Streetspace Programme which took place in the period from March to October 2020 which was when the funding under the London Streetspace Programme (LSP) was issued to TfL by central government. Note that some schemes were delivered by boroughs at their own risk prior to the issue of funding. Subsequently, the objectives of the LSP have been continued under the second tranche of the DfT’s Active Travel Fund (including, in many cases, upgrades to schemes delivered under the LSP).
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
