Our ref: FOI-0805-1819/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 June 2018 asking for information about Dial-A-Ride.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Please see the attached spreadsheet showing the age (year in registration – column E) and the make, columns C & F:
Make Model Body
1 (Merc) Mercedes S311D Sprinter/Mellor
2 (VW) Volkswagen T5 Blu
3 Mercedes Vito 111 CDI XL N/A
Please note where a bus is showing “decom” this is because it is beyond economic repair, but has serviceable parts which can be used to repair other buses in the fleet.
We are currently in the process of procuring 90 new vehicles for compliance with the new ULEZ requirements commencing April 2019. In general we will replace the oldest fleet first, but due to operational requirements this may not be the case in all instances. Our five year business plan includes funding to renew the entire Dial-a-Ride fleet.
All vehicles are diesel powered.
If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
