You asked
Can you please provide full details of every time that a London Underground train has skipped stations to make up time due to it running late. Please provide details of the time and date and service and details of which stations were skipped and how late the train was and how much time was made up by skipping these stations. Please go back as far as possible with this data. Ideally i would like data from 01/01/2000 to Current but if that is not possible then just please give me as far back as you can.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 24 June 2018 asking for information about London Underground trains skipping stations to make up time when running late.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
London Underground does not skip stations to make up lost time and therefore we do not have any of the data you have requested.
There is a method sometimes employed by our lines to return to the schedule which is known as ‘short tripping’. This is where a train is turned back before reaching the intended destination. An example would be a Piccadilly Line due to run to Cockfosters, runs as far as Wood Green and reverses to start a journey back through central London.
Apart from attempting to get the service back to schedule, reasons for short tripping would include diversions due to ongoing service problems, defective trains or Line suspensions.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
