Please disclose the following information, in 2017 the total number of Private hire driver revocations, and of that figure how many licences were revoked for Touting offences, and how many licences were revoked due to sexual assaults/offences

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 June 2018 asking for information about Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) driver revocations.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
Safety is TfL’s number one priority and we are committed to ensuring London remains a world leader in maintaining the safety of passengers.
In 2017 there were 642 PHV driver revocations. This figure may be subject to change based on additional information and/or appeal decisions.
Of the 642 revocations, 34 (5.3%) were for all touting offences and 62 (9.7%) for all sexual offence revocations, this will include action taken for both allegations and convictions.
It should be noted that this may not be an exhaustive record of touting or sexual offence revocations, as in some cases these may be recorded under other revocation classifications. To ascertain which other revocations could be classified as a touting or sexual offence would require a manual examination of the circumstances of all revocations and would exceed the £450 cost limit.
