TfL Ref: 0783-2223

Thank you for your email received by us on 23 June 2022 asking for information about London Underground passenger entry and exit data from January to May 2022 following your previous request for information, reference: 0658-2223.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

The passenger entry and exit station statistics you have asked for covering January to May 2022 in a spreadsheet format will be available via the link below, according to the pre-determined publishing schedule for quarterly station counts data at: http://crowding.data.tfl.gov.uk/

Therefore in accordance with the FOI Act, TfL is not obliged to supply you with the information you have requested as it is subject to a statutory exemption to the right of access to information, under Section 22 of the Act. In this instance the exemption has been applied as some of the information you have requested is intended for future publication.

This exemption is subject to a public interest test, which requires us to assess whether the public interest in applying the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure. In this instance, it is considered that the public interest favours the publication of this information, in context and according to the pre-determined schedule, rather than in response to your request, to ensure the information is provided accurately and in an accessible manner.

In the meantime, live passenger entry and exit data can also be accessed by registering for live data feeds in the Network Statistics section in the Open Data page of our website at:
https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/open-data-users/our-open-data?intcmp=3671#on-this-page-9
