FOI request detail

London Overground Ticket Offices / Machines

Request ID: FOI-0780-1920
Date published: 03 July 2019

You asked

As you have confirmed the contract between Overground and TfL is covered by FOI, I will narrow my request to the following; • The contractual requirement to provide ticketing services for National Rail/Southern Rail services served by the station (e.g Honor Oak Park). • The contractual obligations to replace National Rail tickets if damaged by gates for National Rail/Southern Rail sold by Overground. This is confirmed as not being available “Paper Season Ticket After Sales (replacements etc.)”on your current TVM’s. Would you also confirm the two TVM’s at Honor Oak Park will receive the upgrades suggested below and also confirm there replacement date for these machines as they are old and the touch screens do not line up with displayed text on the screen below and the contractual requirement of the number of TVM’s to be in operation at Honor Oak Park.

Arriva Rail London is currently assessing the structural capability of all floors where it is planning to install new TVMs to ensure they are safe to install these heavy machines. These assessments are being carried out as part of a wider feasibility study which will then determine a programme of installation. At this stage dates for installation at specific sites are currently unknown.
