You asked
Hi there,
I would like to know the number and percentage of overground trains that go through Hackney Wick that have been cancelled over the last 4 years. This should be those going through towards Stratford and those that are going the other way.
By percentage I mean as a whole of what should have gone through what percentage were cancelled. Let me know if anything is unclear.
Thanks

TfL Ref: FOI-0778-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17th July 2021 asking for information about cancellations on the London Overground.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“I would like to know the number and percentage of overground trains that go through Hackney Wick that have been cancelled over the last 4 years. This should be those going through towards Stratford and those that are going the other way.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. However, I am afraid that it would exceed the FOI costs limit to source the information, as set out under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act. Under section 12, TfL is not obliged to respond to a request for information if it would cost more than £450 to determine if the information is held, and to then locate, retrireve or extract that information from elsewhere. This is calculated at a rate of £25 per hour, equivalent to 18 hours work. There is no particularly easy or efficient way of locating the information you have requested. The information has not been collated before and it can only be sourced by checking individual service records. With 4 years worth of data requested this would not be an easy or quick task, and we estimate it would exceed the costs limit.
In order to bring your request within the limit you may wish to reframe it to narrow its scope - for example, by reducing the timeframe which it covers.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
