You asked

Hi, Could I please have data on the number (and location) of crashes and collisions involving delivery cyclists in London (e.g. delivery cyclists who ride for Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats and similar platforms) over the past year? Thanks,

We answered

Our Ref:         FOI-0777-2122

Thank you for your request received on 19 July 2021 asking for information about collisions involving food delivery cyclists.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

TfL is committed to its Vision Zero goal of eliminating death and serious injury from the transport network and is working closely with councils across the capital to build the infrastructure needed for people to cycle safely.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide details of delivery cyclist-involved collisions in London as it is not a requirement to collect this information. Personal injury collision information is collected using Department for Transport guidance and is generally known as STATS19 data. Details of what is recorded and the collection process can be found on the DfT website:

https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/road-accidents-and-safety-statistics

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
