TfL Ref: 0776-1819
Thank you for your email received by us on 25 June 2018 asking for information about the total costs of re-instating the left turn from Byward Street into Trinity Square.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The Trinity Square works have introduced a segregated cycle track as part of the East West Cycle Superhighway (CS3) and includes enhancements to the traffic signals, relocated islands, new surfacing and a dedicated left turn into Trinity Square from Byward Street/Tower Hill. With the traffic lights now commissioned and a permanent left turn in operation, all vehicles can now safely access Trinity Square at any time. This was all delivered ahead of schedule and under budget at a cost of £1.9m. We expect the scheme to bring about improved traffic journey times.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
