I am writing to enquire about the timeline for the implementation of the new ITSO specification, V2.1.5, across your services. As a frequent user of public transport in London, I am particularly interested in understanding how and when these changes will be rolled out, as they are crucial for improving the efficiency and user experience, particularly the ability to bring ITSO cards to the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. This feature would greatly enhance convenience for users.
Could you kindly provide any updates or an expected schedule for this implementation? Additionally, if there are any pilot programs or initial stages of deployment planned, I would appreciate details on those as well.

Our Customer Services team has passed over your request of 25th May 2024 asking for information about the implementation timeline for ITSO Specification V2.1.5.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

TfL has no current plans to migrate to ITSO v2.1.5. There is, therefore, no timeline or schedule for implementation.
