TfL Santander Bicycle Sharing scheme repositioning information request
Request ID: FOI-0759-1819
Date published: 16 July 2018
You asked
The Santander Cycle Hire has a repositioning fleet that will redistribute the bikes of the Bike Sharing Schemes in order to re-balance the number of available bicycles at stations of the network.
I would like the information on all the repositioning action records from 2016-May-15 to 2018-May-18 (Start station ID, end station ID, start time, end time, number of bikes). I would also be grateful for information on the historical docking station status information (number of empty docks, number of bikes, timestamp) during the time period from 2016-May-15 to 2018-May-18, which is similar to Bikepoint Topic in your unified API, if you get hold of an archive of previously released dataset.
I am currently doing research in this field. Your data would be extremely useful in making accurate predictions of citizens' transport behaviour.

Repositioning
We do not have the data of exact numbers of how many bikes were dropped off or picked up, we only have data that shows that a visit has taken place.
Historical docking station status
We have investigated through the supply chain who have confirmed that they do not have access to such stored data.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
