Thank you for clarifying the location of the River Wandle foot bridge leading to Sainsbury's Savacentre.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require.  I appreciate that Merton Council have referred you to TfL, however, this footbridge is not our property and we were not involved in the refurbishment work you refer to.

TfL is responsible for the red routes, such as the nearby Merton High Street, but we would not have responsibility for a footbridge over a river such as this. We would expect that LB Merton would be aware of who carried out these works, but you may also wish to try the Wandle Trust:  https://www.wandletrust.org/
