FOI request detail

Lone Working of CSS2 station staff

Request ID: FOI-0730-1819
Date published: 06 July 2018

You asked

F/on from: FOI-0514-1819. My original request was concerning all "Open Section" stations on the combine, de-manning of open Section stations and Lone Working of CSS2 staff at these stations. I have now limited my request to Lone Working of CSS2 (Customer Service Supervisors) on the Hendon Central Group. (Northern Line). Please look at the threads to this email and it will become clear. Also read Graham Hurt reply to me previously.

We answered

Thank you clarifying your request.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

You have asked for “any correspondence, emails, from MPS, Members of the public and London Underground staff regarding Lone Working of CSS2 station staff on the Open Section Hendon Central Group, Northern Line as per Fit For The Future Stations business Plan."

Although you have refined your request to focus on the Open Section Hendon Central Group, you are still requesting all emails and correspondence regarding lone working for an unspecified time period, and from MPs, members of the public and members of staff. Therefore we would still need to carry out an email search across all of TfL, for an unspecified time period. Any emails identified would need to be manually checked to confirm if they were relevant to your request, and collated. We would also need to consider whether any exemptions should apply to their release. This remains a significant task which in all likelihood would still exceed the cost limit.

Furthermore, as previously advised, any documents which provide details of where or when lone working occurs are likely to be withheld for security reasons.

To help bring the cost of responding to your requests within the £450 limit, you may wish to consider refining your requests to concentrate on matters which are important to you.

Although your request can take the form of a question, rather than a request for specific documents, TfL does not have to answer your question if it would require the creation of new information or the provision of a judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at the time of your request. If you have specific questions relating to these topics we may be more easily able to respond to these than to a request for any information held.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
