Could you please provide the detailed passenger usage data (Bus Number, Date, Time, Bus Stop, Direction of travel) for all passengers boarding and alighting from the E2, E9, 226 and N7 buses along these bus routes over the last 4 months.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23rd June 2022 asking for information about bus passenger numbers.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Could you please provide the detailed passenger usage data (Bus Number, Date, Time, Bus Stop, Direction of travel) for all passengers boarding and alighting from the E2, E9, 226 and N7 buses along these bus routes over the last 4 months.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require, which is provided in the attached spreadsheet. Please note the following:
The data is provided for the last four full months at the date of the request (i.e. from 1 February 2022 to 31 May 2022 inclusive). The number of boarders and alighters are provided for each route and stop/direction combination, for each hour in the day.
The hour figures provided in column F represents the start of the respective hour i.e. “23” represents the hour from 2300 to 2359, “0” represents 0000 to 0059, and so on.
All alighter values are inferred as customers are not required to tap off upon leaving the bus.
