Thank you for your request of 5th June 2023 asking for information about TfL staff average salaries and length of service.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

“Please provide under FoIA 2000:

Average length of service and salary at Transport for  London.”

I can confirm that we hold the information you require. The figures below answer the question based on (a) the mean and (b) the median basis. The data relates to permanent employees only:
 
  • The mean salary in TfL is £55,571.52
  • The mean length of service is 6.05 years.
  • The median salary in TfL is £56,862.00
  • The median length of service is 5.23 years
