Hi – under the Freedom of Information Act I would like to ask for information on lost electronic devices (i.e. phones, tablets, laptops) handed in to lost property between June 1st 2017 and May 31st 2018 (inclusive). If that’s not available, please can we get the most recent 12 months’ of statistics you have available?
• From June 1st 2017 and May 31st 2018, how many electronic devices capable of carrying personal data (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops) were handed in to lost property?
o If you can break this down by month it would be appreciated, but is not essential if this would require too much time
o If you can break this down by mode of transport it would be appreciated, but is not essential if this would require too much time
• From December 1st to December 24th 2017, how many electronic devices capable of carrying personal data (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops) were handed in to lost property?
o If you can break this down by mode of transport it would be appreciated, but is not essential if this would require too much time
• From December 25th to December 30th 2017, how many electronic devices capable of carrying personal data (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops) were handed in to lost property?
o If you can break this down by mode of transport it would be appreciated, but is not essential if this would require too much time
• From December 31st 2017 to January 1st 2018, how many electronic devices capable of carrying personal data (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops) were handed in to lost property?
o If you can break this down by mode of transport it would be appreciated, but is not essential if this would require too much time
I would be very grateful for any information you could provide, but if it is not possible to provide a breakdown in this detail, then please simply provide the results as you record them.

Thank you for your request received on 14 June 2018 asking for information about lost electronic devices found on our network.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.
Please find the requested information attached. We have separated individual item found and items found in a bag as most laptops etc. are found in bags.
Please also note:
• These are items found on TfL services (Buses, black cabs, London Overground, TfL Rail, London Underground, Bus Stations etc.)
• Items in the financial years are based on the date the items were found
• The information provided are items that were sent to the Lost Property Office to be processed (items claimed locally not included as we do not hold this information).
