Thank you for your request received by us on 4 and 11 June 2019 asking for information about bus services within the capital and those on the borders of London that receive support from County Councils
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You asked for:
 
1. A list of the bus services in receipt of council funding in London for each year since 2009/10 that have been that have been a) reduced; b) withdrawn. (i.e. the request is for a list that covers council competitively-tendered services or services receiving de minimis support, but not covering purely commercial bus services)
 
2. The annual spend (in nominal terms) on bus services in receipt of council funding in London for each year since 2009/10
 
I am referring to bus services within London and bus services on the borders of London that receive support from County Councils. I assume that information on bus services outside of London in receipt of council subsidy will lie with those county authorities (with whom I have made identical FOI requests).
 
Please see the attached table providing the sums received by TfL from the County Councils annually since 2005/06. The second file details the various changes to bus services, since 2009, for all routes in receipt of County Council payment.
