You asked

There is no signage at all informing motorists that that they have to pay within 3 days ; I regard that as a money making scaaaaam as on two trips to London I have now paid 300 pounds in fine ? There fore under the Freedom of Information Act I request an answer how much has the LEZ generated in revenue and how much in fines every month since it inception? Which company runs enforcement and how much has it earned from these totals or how much profit has it generated in the last 12 months from this contract?”

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30 June 2021 asking for information about LEZ.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

The table below shows LEZ income broken down by charge payments and Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) payments. This is since the launch of the scheme in 2008.
