Request ID: FOI-0649-2223 Date published: 06 July 2022
You asked
Based on my measurement there seems to be excessive noise in Victoria underground. I travelled over Brixton to Euston stations and recorded the background noise level. Please see attached and kindly provide an update that does TFL audit London underground lines for noise level regularly? If yes, are the latest records available publicly?
The measurement was done with an iOS App called Decible X. The measurement is as close as +/- 3 dB with the high-end background noise measurement devices I have been using.
