Thank you for your request received on 3 June 2019 asking for information about purchased property assets valued over £5m.
 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:
 
Please can you confirm whether, during the period of 1st March 2018 to 28th February 2019, your local authority purchased any property assets over the value of £5 million. If so, please would you specify each property that was purchased (type of property and address) and the value of each purchase.
 
We have made one purchase over the value of £5m during the requested time period. We acquired a package of properties at Joan Street, London, SE1 8DA including Algarve House (a freehold commercial property) and five residential properties located in the Styles House estate (leasehold properties with existing assured shorthold tenancies) on 21 March 2018. This transaction was disclosed in the annual financial statements of TfL for the year ended 31 March 2018: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/aac-20191006-agenda-and-papers-updated-v2.pdf (see agenda item 6).
