Please can I request a breakdown of mean, median, highest and lowest salary figures for the role of a Service Analyst Band 2 in Technology and Data. As well as the base starting salary, and the Band 2 ranges for the role.

Thank you for your request received on 20 July 2020 asking for information about the Service Analyst Band 2 role in our Technology and Data Department.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require.

Please see below information regarding Service Analyst band 2 as requested:

The average/mean salary is £37,192.87
Median is £37,117.00
Minimum salary is £29,000-£33,999
Maximum salary is £50,000-£54,999

The job title Service Analyst covers different skillsets and the salaries can range from £30k (start) £35k (average) going up to £40k. Please see the Payband 2 ranges attached.

Please note that in accordance with our obligations under Data Protection legislation, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Ac, the minimum and maximum salary has been provide within a £5k pay range. Disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.

This exemption to the right of access to information is an absolute exemption and not subject to an assessment of whether the public interest favours use of the exemption.
