The TFL website has adverts on it, in my opinion, this is misleading and may add confusion especially for those not tech-savvy, can you please confirm when this was last reviewed and the total advert revenue generated by these adverts over the last 3 years.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 28th June 2021 asking for information about advertising on the TfL website.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“The TFL website has adverts on it, in my opinion, this is misleading and may add confusion especially for those not tech-savvy, can you please confirm when this was last reviewed and the total advert revenue generated by these adverts over the last 3 years.”
TfL is legally permitted to carry advertising on its website under paragraph 13, Schedule 11 of the Greater London Authority Act. Whilst we have not reviewed the decision to have advertising on our website, we do regularly review customer complaints and feedback. The total website advertising revenue generated in the last three years is £1,990,412.80.
