Thank you for your request received on 11 June 2018 asking for information about the yellow box at the junction of Purley Way, Foxley Lane, and Pampisford Road.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:
1. How many fines have been issued, organised by month, in the last year up from 1 June 2017 until 1 June 2018 to date for contravention of the yellow box traffic rules at the above junction;
2. The total value of revenue raised from those fines from 1 June 2017- 1 June 2018 to date at the above junction;
3. The total number of times any appeals raised by those fined have been dismissed by TfL to date.

The attached table details how many PCNs were issued to vehicles observed entering and stopping in the yellow box junction when prohibited on Purley Way, junction with Foxley Lane and Pampisford Road; the data is broken down by calendar month from 1 June 2017 to 1 June 2018.

Furthermore, the ‘Amount Paid’ section describes the total revenue generated in each respective month.

We issue PCNs when we have reason to believe a contravention occurred. Should a driver believe the PCN was issued incorrectly, they can challenge the PCN; all PCNs are subject to a statutory representations and appeals process and each challenge is considered on a case-by-case basis, including any mitigating circumstances. We have the discretion to cancel a PCN or refund all or part of a PCN payment for any reason, however this would not mean the PCN was issued incorrectly. If a representation is rejected, the driver is within their rights to appeal to an independent adjudicator. Should a driver pay a PCN and later have their representation accepted or appeal allowed, any payment will be refunded. Representation and appeal outcomes are also detailed in the attached table.

If this is not the information you are looking for please feel free to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
