You asked:
“If some one is going to occupy a safety critical role within TfL would they have to undertake a pre employment medical and if not in all cases what would be classed as an exception?”.
While the outcome of a medical is not always a simple ‘fit’ or ‘unfit’, I can confirm that all persons undertaking safety critical duties require a medical assessment beforehand.
