Please can you advise how many private vehicles have been 'white-listed'/ added to the list of vehicles meeting the ULEZ standards for emissions i.e. The owner/ driver has had to submit a v5 and a letter from the manufacturer stating emissions levels and the vehicle has then been added to the white-list?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 30 May 2019 asking for information about the ULEZ White List.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

Our ULEZ compliance data is predominantly based on the vehicle information held by the DVLA. When this is incomplete, or when a vehicle is registered outside of the UK, we invite motorists to contact us and provide evidence to confirm their vehicle complies with the ULEZ emission standards.

As of 2 June 2019 we have updated 16,217 vehicle records as a result of motorists contacting us and providing information to confirm their vehicle is complaint with the ULEZ standards.
