Date published: 10 August 2020
You asked
The date when the pin badge was declared to TFL as a gift and by whom?
We answered
Our Ref: FOI-0614-2021
Thank you for your request received on 14 July 2020 asking for information about the Uber pin/badge received by a member of staff following a meeting between Uber and TfL earlier this year.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.
We do not hold the information you have requested. As previously advised, the item given was from a member of the Uber security/logistics team and was a branded company pin badge of no apparent financial value.
Our Gifts and Hospitality Policy states:
There is no obligation to make a disclosure in relation to gifts and hospitality which are below £25 in value.
Instances where it may be appropriate to accept a gift are:
(a) The gift is of limited value, intended for promotional advertising, and given to a wide range of people. Examples would include pens, key rings, calendars, diaries and other promotional items.
The impact of current circumstances on TfL’s resources means we are not able to answer FOI requests readily and we ask that you please do not make a request to us at present.
Answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. In any event, please note that our response time will be affected by the current situation.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
