I am writing to request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Average Salary Data, as provided by the TfL Central Transformation Team, and used in the Tranche 3 business cases to calculate business costs. For the TfLs Bands, this data is more or less consistent (Band 1 40K, Band 2 54,5K, Band 3 74.5K, Band 4 100K, Band 5 150K Director 260K) However for other miscellaneous categories, the average salary data is conflicting in different business cases ranging from 45 to 90 K (i.e. contractor or other) Can you please confirm the exact current Average Salary data provided by the TfL Central Transformation Team for each band and / or Staff category (i.e. Contractor, Other, Apprentice)?

Your request has been processed in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you requested. You asked:

Can you please confirm the exact current Average Salary data provided by the TfL Central Transformation Team for each band and / or Staff category (i.e. Contractor, Other, Apprentice)?

Please find the information you requested in the attached table.

The average salaries shown below were provided by the Transformation Central Team for calculating staff costs for Tranche 3 Business Cases. These costs included National Insurance and Employer Pension contributions so they reflected the full cost of employing people in roles at these bands.

These assumptions were supplemented in some cases by Business-Case specific assumptions for some categories of staff such as contractors where workstream leads did their own calculations to get an average cost.
