Central Line Working Timetable

Request ID: FOI-0596-2425
Date published: 21 May 2024

You asked

I note that the Central Line Working Timetable, at https://content.tfl.gov.uk/cen-wtt-70.pdf , is dated 26 January 2020 until further notice. Yet you claim to have introduced a revised timetable in recent weeks to deal with both the track issue and the traction motor shambles. You will explain why that has not been published on the website. I am also hereby requesting under FoI a copy of that timetable.

We answered

TfL Ref: FOI-0596-2425

Thank you for your email which we received yesterday 20 May 2024, asking for a copy of the Central line working timetable.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm TfL does hold the information you require.

The public Central line working timetable (WTT) as referenced is for uploading the main base working timetables only i.e., the standard timetables that operate for the long term. The objective has never been to upload every single timetable publication on the webpage as this would be significantly onerous, with an unsourced overhead to routinely upload and maintain the page on a daily basis.

All timetable information on what is scheduled to run on each day is uploaded and captured on Journey Planner and the corresponding timetables page in the Travel Information section: https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/timetables/

The intention for the emergency Central line timetable is a temporary arrangement only, not a long-term permanent change or a brand new working timetable, which is out of alignment with the title of the corporate page. A copy of the emergency Central line working timetable has been provided before and is published on the TfL site, via this link: https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-4388-2324

In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely

Eva Hextall
