Dear Transport for London,
Under FOI reference TFL-2971597-1708687802 (copy attached) you confirmed that the parking enforcement camera overlooking 24-36 Streatham High Road is a Siqura HD16AWDR/P External Analogue PTZ Dome Camera, and you supplied VCA certificate number PAD019 Issue 4 (also attached).
I am aware TFL has also obtained a new certificate showing certificate number EAD019, also attached.
I now request the following information: Copies of any all all records which show that either of these certificates are the certificates issued by the Secretary of State in respect of the Siqura HD16AWDR/P External Analogue PTZ Dome Camera camera. If no records are held which confirm that either certificate is the certificate for the Siqura HD16AWDR/P External Analogue PTZ Dome Camera, please would you confirm that no information is held.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18th May 2024 asking for information about device approval for Siqura HD16AWDR/P External Analogue PTZ Dome Camera certification. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

CCTV cameras and associated recording equipment used for the enforcement of red route parking and bus lane contraventions must be certified by the Secretary of State for Transport to show that the complete system is an "approved device". The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) has been appointed to do this on their behalf, in accordance with the Civil Enforcement of Road Traffic Contraventions (Approved Devices, Charging Guidelines and General Provisions) (England) Regulations 2022 and the London Local Authorities Act 1996. The "approved device" used by TfL for this type of enforcement is the Digital Traffic Enforcement System (DTES).
