I have two questions about Trixi Mirrors:
1) In September 2010, TfL published a report on the evaluation of Trixi Mirrors:https://content.tfl.gov.uk/trial-of-roadside-safety-mirrors-for-cycle-visibility-report.pdf. Since this report, has any other evaluation of the safety aspects of these mirrors been carried out? If so please refer me to it.
2) Do you have information / instructions / guidance on the mounting and in particular, the alignment of Trixi mirrors that could be used by those installing these mirrors?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 May 2023 asking for information about Trixi mirrors.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
I can confirm we do hold some of the information you require – however, we are not aware of any other research carried out on the safety mirrors, and do not hold specific information about the mounting or alignment of these.
We have identified a section in London Cycling Design Standards (LCDS) about Trixi mirrors:
We also hold an Engineering specification for the mirrors (attached) however it does not go in to the details requested.
We do have in our Periodic Inspection guidance a section on checking the alignment which refers to separate installation guidance. The relevant pages are attached for your information.
