In the response to FOI ref 0470-2021 it was stated that 4 people were on the waiting list for the Network Information and Coordinator Manager role, and 3 people were recruited within the campaign - how was the waiting list of 4 people formed - where did these employees come from to be on the waiting list for the role of Network Information and Coordinator Manager? 2.) We answered

TfL Ref 0570-2021

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7 July2020 asking for information about the recruitment for the Network Information and Coordinator Manager.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Please see below.

The waiting list was formed via an open recruitment process across the organisation.

2. How long is it expected before another campaign for this role would be live again – based on average service in the role of current and previous employees?

It is not possible to say with any certainty at this time as the role in question is new, and as such we don’t yet know if there is likely to be a high degree of turnover. We can advise however that there will not be a further recruitment process until all 4 of those on the wait list have secured positions.

3. What were the 3 people recruited in the previous campaigns (October 2019) respective Job Titles before?

Please note that in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation we are not able to provide this information, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. If we were to provide this information this would enable the individuals to be identified.  It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.

4. How low does the waitlist have to get, before another recruitment campaign is launched?

We would likely not commence another campaign until we are down to one person remaining on the waiting list.

5. Before the LUCC underwent transformation How many 'Network Operations Controllers' were employed?
