Communication exchange between TfL and London Borough of Havering
Request ID: FOI-0560-2223 Date published: 23 June 2022
You asked
In 2021, London Borough of Havering (LBH) contacted TfL regarding the proposed upgrade to the junction of Mawney Road / White Hart Lane. The reference given to the proposal by LBH was QT034.
It is my understanding TfL objected to the speed tables and this was later overturned. I would like to see the full exchange and reasons why, redacting any personal information which could prevent its release.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7 June 2022 asking for information about the proposed upgrade to the junction of Mawney Road / White Hart Lane.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act our information access policy. We do not hold the information you have requested as we can find no evidence of objections to this by TfL.
We have also attached the email and attachments received from Havering regarding the scheme which was sent to our bus operations and Taxi and Private Hire teams. Both areas have confirmed that no response or objections were sent.
Please note that in accordance with TfL’s obligations under Data Protection legislation some personal data has been removed, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
The only other possibility may have been the bus operator themselves objected - which is the route 252 that Stagecoach operate - we do not hold any information on this.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
