TfL Ref: FOI-0552-2223
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6th June 2022 asking for information about the 23 bus route.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Could you please provide me the data this May including
1. The scheduled times of each 23 bus towards westbourne park arrive at royal albert hall station in May. 2. The actual times of each bus 23 bus towards westbourne park arrive at royal albert hall station in May.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require, which is provided in the attached spreadsheet. Note that although route 23 is marketed as a 24-hour route, internally (and in this spreadsheet) the day portion is operated as route 23, while the night portion is operated as route N23. Some trips are marked ‘unscheduled’. These trips ran either to complement the service or instead of some missing scheduled trips. Finally, note that there are numerous empty cells in the “observed_departure_time” column. The reasons for these gaps are:
Trips did not run for some reason;
Trips did run but the data was not recorded by the iBus system;
Trips ran on diversion and did not serve the stop in question.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells FOI Case Officer FOI Case Management Team General Counsel Transport for London
