Please confirm whether there are any plans held by Transport for London to introduce 4G connectivity on the central section of the London Overground East London Line (between Surrey Quays and Dalston Junction)?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 22 May 2023 asking for information about 4G connectivity on London Overground.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require - there have been some early/informal discussions concerning the connectivity of 4G on London Overground, but at this stage nothing has been finalised.
