Thank you for your request received on 3 July 2020 asking for information about the number of trees planted and removed by Transport for London (TfL).

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked for:

1. Total number of trees removed and planted for years 2019 - 2020 for which TFL has responsibility.

2. Total number of trees for which TFL has responsibility

TfL has responsibility 24,111 (figure correct as at 31 March 2020).

3. Projected number of trees to be planted 2020 - 2021 by TFL

TfL has not yet confirmed their tree planning programme for 2020-2021. This will be completed in Autumn ahead of the yearly tree planting season.
