I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act concerning employees designated as Band 3 Engineers within TfL, specifically in the Building Services, E&M -Electrical discipline from April 2023 to the present.
1.Could you please provide the current pay range as of today : 14th May 2024 (both upper and lower limits) for the following job categories: Band 3 Engineers - Electrical (E&M), Senior Engineers - Electrical (E&M), and Senior Engineering Leaders - Electrical (E&M)?

2.What was the initial salary offered to all newly appointed individuals in the roles of Band 3 Engineers - Electrical (E&M), Senior Engineers - Electrical (E&M), and Senior Engineering Leaders - Electrical (E&M) from January 2023 to date? Please categorise them by Engineer - Electrical (E&M), Senior Engineer - Electrical (E&M) and Senior Engineering Leader (E&M).
Additionally, could you confirm whether the figures provided in your response are rounded up or down?
In accordance with our obligations under Data Protection legislation this information has been withheld, as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act. This is because disclosure of this personal data would be a breach of the legislation, specifically the first principle of Article 5 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation which requires all processing of personal data to be fair and lawful. It would not be fair to disclose this personal information when the individuals have no expectation it would be disclosed and TfL has not satisfied one of the conditions which would make the processing ‘fair’.
