You asked

Good afternoon I am interested in (per park): - Number of pedestrians injured/ killed by - cyclists - motor vehicles - Number of cyclists injured/ killed by - motor vehicles - Number of vehicle occupants (including drivers) injured/ killed Ideally for a 5 year period and in Excel format (one file is sufficient as long as the requested data can be extracted). I know that you have provided part of this information in https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-3545-2223 but since I want to compare the data, I’d like it to be for the same period. Many thanks [Clarification received 20 May 2024]: Thank you for your email and apologies for not being clear. The parks I’m interested in are: - Hyde Park - Green Park - Richmond Park - Greenwich - St James Park - Bushy Park - Regent’s Parks - Kensington Gardens Many thanks

Thank you for your clarified request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20 May 2024, asking for information about collisions involving cyclists and pedestrians in parks in London.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require.

Personal injury collision data is provided to TfL by the police. The data provided only covers details of collisions that took place on the public highway. Therefore, we only hold information for public roads within the specified parks. We do not have details of collisions occurring on footpaths.

Please see the requested data in the zip folder attached. Please note that the data for St. James’s Park and Green Park are reported together, and the collision location is specified where needed.

The data provided covers 2019 to 2023. The latest full year’s collision data we have is to the end of 2022. Please note that 2023 data is currently provisional. We expect to have finalised 2023 data later this summer.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
