Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4 June 2022 asking for information about how many roundabouts, mini-roundabouts, T junctions, staggered junctions and crossroads are in London.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. You asked: How many roundabouts, mini-roundabouts, T junctions, staggered junction, crossroads are in London.
We do not have the data you have specifically requested for either the Transport for London Road Network or TLRN (which are the roads we are responsible for), or for Greater London as we have not recently carried out any analysis to extract the information you have requested, ourselves; however, we do hold a copy of the publicly available Ordnance Survey (OS) Open Roads dataset for an area that includes Greater London. This data, once processed using GIS software which is also freely available (QGIS) can provide most of the requested information (however please note that staggered junctions would be difficult to define and extract regardless of the data source). This dataset can be downloaded using the following link: https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/business-government/products/open-map-roads.
