Thank you for your email received on 30 May requesting information about the closed crossing at Aldgate near Jewry Street.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our Information Access Policy. I can confirm we do hold some of the information you requested. You asked:
The pedestrian crossing on Aldgate next to the junction with Jewry Street has been closed for some time.
Please supply all documentation related to the closure of this crossing.
Please note that the removal of the crossing was due to footway works as a result of development works by City Of London.
Attached are some documents we hold relating to the crossing - they are all relating to the works on the main junction which included this crossing. The specific issues regarding the reasons for the delay on the pedestrian crossing being implemented will be held by the corporation of the City of London so you will need to contact them for this information here.
Please note in accordance with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) some personal data has been removed from the documents as required by section 40(2) of the FOI Act.
